Objectives of GCT
To study the epidemiology of the health transition, with emphasis on the emergence of non-communicable diseases in developing countries
To develop strategies for the prevention of non-communicable diseases in developing countries
To develop resources for research and prevention of non-communicable diseases in developing countries, including training
To develop networks and partnerships between institutions involved in research and prevention of non-communicable disease
