This unit is active in cancer registration and surveillance on a national and international scale, on screening monitoring and risk factor evaluation. Epidemiological investigations of other major diseases are also conducted in collaboration with leading international networks.
The Cantonal Cancer Registry of Vaud is a constituent part of the unit, which is also in charge of the Neuchatel Cancer Registry and responsible for the evaluation and scientific follow-up of the breast cancer screening programmes in the cantons of Vaud and Valais.
