R programs and data sets to bootstrap life tables and
estimates of modal age of death according to (1).
The programs are self documented.

1. plots the dx curves of Swiss female period life tables
2. computes and plots a Kernel density or a Gaussian density adjusted to the dx curve
3. computes the empirical mode, the kernel mode, the normal mode
SimNormMode.r
Computes the bootstrap distribution of the Normal mode and
the empirical mode for Swiss males and females
SimKernMode.r
Computes the bootstrap distribution of the kernel mode
for Swiss males and females
