Poor socio-economic conditions kill as many people as obesity or tobacco smoking


A study1, published by the Lancet and coordinated by a IUMSP team  (Silvia Stringhini et Cristian Carmeli,  are IUMSP collaborators and main authors) reveals that socio-economic status is a major risk factor for health which kills as many people as obesity or diabetes.
