The « menuCH » 2014/2015 national survey data are available for statistical and scientific purposes

The menuCH national survey on nutrition provides, for the first time, significant data on food consumed and eating habits in Switzerland. The « menuCH » 2014/2015 national survey data are available for statistical and scientific purposes in the form of individual fully anonymised data. A data protection contract must be set (with the FSVO).

To apply:

  • Register on the on line portal.
  • Fill in the form. Accept the data protection rules and return the form online. Beforehand, you can consult the documents featured under « Documentation » to decide whether you require all or parts of the data.
  • The FSVO examines the request. Provided that the conditions are met, you will receive a data protection contract by post for signature.
  • Once the contract is signed, return it to the FSVO. You will be notified as soon as the data are available for downloading on the online portal.

The IUMSP’s contribution

The IUMSP (Division of Chronic Diseases, Nutrition group) and the Institute of social and preventive medicine of Berne, in collaboration with the Health division of the Berne University of Applied Sciences, have been entrusted with the menuCH national survey of the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) and the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

The IUMSP (uDDSP) has also designed and developed the menuCH Data Repository on behalf of the FSVO.
