Colloque "High-impact, resilient and equitable: an update on vaccination demand strategies from WHO Headquarters, Geneva"

- Colloquia

World Health Organization (WHO), Geneva

Résumé : The global immunization landscape is characterised by growing urbanization, more children living in conflict-affected settings, questionable technological and political developments, and increasingly complex vaccination schedules.

In this context, recent measles epidemics in all WHO regions and progress in some countries that has stalled or even reversed has renewed attention on under-vaccination.

These trends offer stark reminders that strong, resilient immunization programmes are needed to sustain high levels of uptake, to achieve disease elimination and eradication targets.

This session examines the state of the art in what is known about the behavioural and social drivers of vaccination at individual, community and societal levels; interventions to improve uptake; and methods for building the resilience of programmes in countries.
