Who we are

The Public Health Training Unit (uFSP) engaged in activities in January 2015 through the reorganization of the IUMSP.

This unit coordinates and develops the trainings organized by the IUMSP, in collaboration with the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+).

The IUMSP is a training institution for physicians in training (pre- and post-graduate) and for prevention and public health FMH specialists. The IUMSP also offers continuing education, CAS in clinical research and CAS in public health. Moreover, several Life Sciences PhD students are welcomed every year at the IUMSP to carry out their thesis work.

Besides, the IUMSP is in charge of all the statistics teaching at pregraduate level.

“Lifelong” public health trainings are likely to develop. Also, training methods are going to evolve to ambitious forms of distance education (Massive Open Online Courses for example).
