Nutritional recommendations and behaviour are becoming important in the fight against chronic diseases. For example, deficiencies in nutrients, such as vitamin D, or food intolerances such as gluten intolerance are associated with the development of several chronic diseases. In parallel, genomic studies have identified polymorphisms that are associated with the occurrence of these particular deficiencies or intolerances. Although these nutritional aspects are influenced by various parameters, their genetic component is important. Furthermore, several studies have shown a better compliance with specific diets when genetic information was known compared to generic nutritional recommendations. Gene Predictis® offers a genetic profile, NUTRIPASS®, which gives nutritional and behavioural recommendations based on genetic information.
